Letters In Motion

Letters in Motion: A Calligraffiti Exhibition

A groundbreaking open-air performative art experience that blended the elegance of Arabic calligraphy with the energy of street graffiti.

It was a powerful expression of cultural fusion and communal joy, aligned with the spirit of Ramadan and the celebrations of Eid. Held at Ghana’s National Mosque in Nima – a vibrant, densely populated neighborhood in Accra.

The exhibition was a collaboration with ten local Muslim artists, and the Christiansborg Archaeological Heritage Project, generously supported by the Mellon Foundation.
